Dear Anna,
On behalf of the Management Committee I wish to thank you for speaking at the Learning Difficulties Coalition NSW Inc Term 4 Online Seminar:
Key Strategies for Children and Adolescents on the Autism Spectrum
held on Tuesday 10th September 2020 via zoom.
We have received excellent feedback from the seminar and are most appreciative of your presentation.
Once again, many thanks for donating your time.
Yours sincerely,

Over four weeks, Anna facilitated the Certificate II Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways with a group of Senior Outreach students from Henbury School in Darwin, Northern Territory. Anna worked with staff to adapt and modify content to ensure maximum relevance and engagement, often doing so outside of normal work hours. It was inspiring to see the relationships Anna built with students during her time with us. I very much enjoyed watching students lead ‘dance breaks’ in between heavy theory content, using lollies for maths activities and her genuineness in her dealings with all students and staff. We hope we get the opportunity to work with Anna again in the future.

Workshop Comments
I loved the lived experiences, these gave me a better understanding of the experiences of children. She gave me lots of ideas on how to build rapport and collaborative responses to issues that arise.

Workshop comment.
I found it helpful that Anna explained exactly how a child with ASD feels and what might be going through their mind.

Thank you for your insights and understanding of ASD. Great job, very informative.

Anna Tullemans worked with my special needs students doing a Certificate 2 course. She was so good at working with students that she managed to get a shy student up dancing. All my students passed the course which is a testament to her ability to explain concepts and adapt work to suit interest levels.

In her delivery of the face-to-face sessions of the Certificate IV in Education Support, Anna was superb. Her warmth towards participants established an immediate rapport. She actively encouraged them to contribute their personal experiences and her empathetic listening and responses showed clearly that she not only had an in depth knowledge of research and current thinking but most importantly that she understood clearly the practicalities of managing students with disabilities in school settings. Participants were never left wondering how theoretical models translated into classroom practice. Anna was able to offer a range of practical strategies and supports and also to facilitate and contribute to debate on contentious issues from a position of personal experience as both a parent and a classroom teacher.
